I've neglected my blog over the last month just havn't had time. I have been adding new items of jewellery to our wowthankyou shop as it only had 5 on there so i thought it about time to put more on and see what happens! will let you know on that.
Today i did manage to make 3 items of jewellery a celtic knot necklace mixed metal
, mixed metal hammered copper and silver "i wish" dandelion stamped pendant and my favourite although i probably would not wear them myself but i like look of them is some vintaj brass dove bird stamped with an olive branch and i added rustic border and riveted a stacked flower onto the bottom. Kind of quaint and whimsical look .
So my plans for next month are to teach myself to tube rivet, possibly made a stacked riveted and stamped ring and soldering!!! i have the torch hee hee. My sister does all this already but hasn't got time to show me at present so i am you tubing and googling it all.
Will show you all my efforts soon - promise.

Swarovski Butterfly Wedding Pendant
This year i've come away from beaded jewellery and started doing more metalwork and plan lots of new things along those lines but i still love creating delicate beaded items too in particular sometimes woven jewellery. This swarovski butterfly wedding pendant i created from a pattern and it took me an evening to figure out how to do it. But i am a determined little person so eventually 'twas created. It is super sparkly delicate and feminine.
I have lots of swarovski crystals at home and think i will make a woven circle pendant of crystals next as they were quite popular at jewellery events last year.

Sports teams Football Rugby Hockey gifts
New today. Inspired by my son's love for Arsenal Football Club. Sports teams metal stamped bookmarks. I kept this plain with no hole punched or ribbon or beads and just stamped his favourite members of the team (not the whole reserves too!). You could have a rugby team or even a family tree which i have done which is lovely gift.
I made one for my Aunt for Christmas with family names stamped down the bookmark with white ribbon and beads too.
I plan on making some toe rings for summer soon too so i will post them here when made. Perhaps i will do a gallery of them.

Merry Christmas everyone x

NEW YEAR NEW PROJECTS
New Year and new projects are going through my mind. I think i am addicted to new projects. This is a copper cuff ring i made last night with some 20 gauge copper sheet metal and a hammer and liver of sulphur to oxidise metal. Gives the effect of a bark ring. I think it looks different. May try this out in sterling silver too. I've got some dapping tools dome block and new metal stamps lots of ideas, its sometimes knowing where to start as there is so much i wish to do.
I feel like a need a gap year to get it all done. So, i am planning some cuff rings in sterling silver and copper with stamped designs on next and one of my next projects will be to make some big hammered sterling silver hoop earrings or copper depending on what i have to hand at home.
I LOVE NEW IDEAS

How to make twist wire bracelet
STEP 1 - Firstly select beads you want to use, smaller beads will give more dainty bracelet. I used green agate, malachite chips, green cats eye beads and toho beads for this project. I used 26 gauge silver coloured florist wire you will need about 4ft x 2.
STEP 2 - Use one length 26 gauge wire at a time. Leave tail of about 6 inches place on bead i usually use round one on wire.
STEP 3 - Cross wires right under the bead as shown in the photo, then twist 3 times using thumb and forefinger.
STEP 4 - Twisted bead will be held in place on 26 gauge wire now. Take a finger space between this bead and the next one and do same mixing up beads and shapes as you go to create interest.
STEP 5 - Mix up seed beads and round beads the closer the beads the more wire you will use. Check length around your wrist you will need extra as you will intertwine the 2 strands later.
STEP 6 - Repeat with other strand. Leave tails of 6" either end.
STEP 7 - Grasp two ends and make Y shape then twist with thumbs and forefingers about 1/2 "
STEP 8 - You need enough twisted wire to be able to make a loop with round nose pliers.
STEP 9 - Twist loop with round nose pliers and bring two ends around base of it to secure. (You could add lobster clasp at this point if you want to. so it is secured onto the loop and cannot come off.
STEP 9 - Plait and intertwine the two strands (careful not to overtwist or the wire will snap) and then the two ends by the twisted wire loop you will individually weave one at a time amongst beads until left with about 1" wire then use round nose pliers to create nice neat coil and tuck in amongst beads. Do this with all four ends.
STEP 9 - You will see i have added jump rings to the twisted wire loops you made and a mobius love knot (intertwined jump rings) and clasp to add some decoration to the bracelet.
You could make a necklace in the same way as this but longer length too and its great little project to use up all those little beads you have left over.
Time to make : approx 30 to 45 mins. Level Beginner to intermediate.
Thank you.

Purple amethyst handmade swarovski crystal necklace
Just listed today as part of the folkay mayhem challenge listing a new item each day. I made this pretty crystal necklace last night. About one year ago i made a lot of necklaces using swarovski crystals and they were very popular but havn't had time recently so i thought last night i would make one and put it into our Folksy shop. They don't take too long to make and i hope to do a tutorial on this necklace as you could use other beads, like pearls or sterling silver beads for instance. In fact as i am writing this blog i may do a pearl butterfly necklace with same techniques so watch this space.
A new project for tonight i think!

Turquoise howlite woven pendant
New to my folksy shop at £14.00 a very pretty feminine vibrant turquoise howlite gemstone pendant.
I have woven this pendant with 4mm turquoise howlite beads and used silver delica beads in between to create this open circle gemstone pendant and hung on an 18" sterling silver chain.
I love turquoise and silver for summer it goes with everything. This pendant is about 1" in diameter so dainty and wearable for everyday.
