Some photos taken at home and some at a friend's workplace this Thursday. I now need all red jewellery boxes as i have loads and loads of black to use up but can't afford to change the whole lot.

Will get there in 2012! patience patience patience

Craft time with the children

Well, i've been to Hobbycraft and my son chose letter E for his name to decoupage. There was lady in entrance decoupaging a huge giraffe with pretty turquoise floral paper. Not quite his cup of tea so he chose army camoflauge paper to cover his letter.

My daughter chose a jewellery box treasure chest makeover pack. She was happily singing and humming as the glitter and glue went everywhere.

Here are their efforts.

A round of applause.
Well, next week its their school summer fair and as a member of the PTA i am taking along colourful glitter butterfly beads and acrylic beads for stretch bracelet making, football match attax cards crammed into a huge jar for guess the number and the winner gets them all (very popular with the boys) and i am taking my badge machine so they can make keyrings or magnets with some digital collage sheets i have too. I think i am more excited than the children!

New packaging for Little Red Robin

Hooray, i have ordered new jewellery boxes for Little Red Robin which came this afternoon and i am really pleased with them. Lovely poppy red boxes. Also have new business cards.

Just showing an item with the new boxes. Do you like them? Thought colour would be good for valentines and xmas too and they go with Little Red Robin theme.

SOPHIE customised necklace

Hi,

Beautiful sunny day today, have my washing on the line as i type.

My sister has kindly made this necklace a beautiful customized sterling silver lightly hammered tag necklace for anyone called Sophie. I have one with my son and daughters name on that she made me. That has 2 tags my son on bottom bigger circle and my daughter's name on the top one with a little puffy sterling silver heart in front.

My sister is s silversmith and is saving up for a tumble polisher machine so she can make more personalised silver or copper or mixed metal projects with a quicker turnaround as she is currently has to take items to her college to get polished.

Patience, patience, patience.

Ta ra for today

Cool coral and silver necklace

My Folksy Mayhem listing for today. Feminine coral gemstone chip and sterling silver rondelle beaded necklace. I have used open heart closed sterling silver jump rings round the neckline and 6mm sterling silver rondelle beads. Strung on wire and a pattern of 5 gemstone chips to one rondelle bead give it a uniform look and the silver adds nice weight to the necklace.

Lovely colour for summer.

Purple amethyst handmade swarovski crystal necklace

Just listed today as part of the folkay mayhem challenge listing a new item each day. I made this pretty crystal necklace last night. About one year ago i made a lot of necklaces using swarovski crystals and they were very popular but havn't had time recently so i thought last night i would make one and put it into our Folksy shop. They don't take too long to make and i hope to do a tutorial on this necklace as you could use other beads, like pearls or sterling silver beads for instance. In fact as i am writing this blog i may do a pearl butterfly necklace with same techniques so watch this space.

A new project for tonight i think!

Coral coloured swarovski chandelier earrings

Lovely and fresh for summer time. I made these earrings last night. I used paparaschanda (think thats how it is spelt) salmon coloured swarovski crystals and sterling silver headpins to secure to the sterling silver chandelier finding to make very pretty long feminine earrings for summer time. They can be found in our Folksy shop. I have just signed up for Folksy Mayhem which means i shall be listing a new item (hopefully) each day in May so more blogs will follow i hope. x
